Welcome to Omarinomics
It started as a joke about markets and mindset, but somehow turned into a full-blown economic theory… or maybe just a lifestyle brand.
Omari Robinson is a CFP® professional, CAIA Chaterholder, and holds an MS in Economics with experience in wealth management, venture capital, and the alternative ecosystem.
Why I’m Doing This
I want to start by sharing why I’m writing this and what you can expect from me here.
I’ve spent the past several years working in and around finance, including private equity, venture capital, Family Offices, and advisory roles.
Omarinomics started as a place to talk about markets, strategy, and alternative investments but it’s becoming something bigger. It’s turning into a personal journal of growth, perspective, and the experiences that shape how I think about money, relationships, and life. Yes, there will always be finance here, but the heartbeat of this blog is personal: the lessons behind the numbers, the stories behind the strategy, and the moments that changed how I see the world.
This Substack is offering individual access to curated insights from a seasoned financial/investment professional. No AI blurs or BS, just my own experiences, hard-earned lessons, and an ongoing journey of growth.
My intention isn’t just to teach theory. It’s to disseminate practical knowledge that I have used along my journey. By breaking down complex ideas into clear, approachable lessons, I hope to empower people with the appropriate tools, whether you’re just starting to think about money or you’re already deep in the industry but want to add more strategies / tools to your toolkit.
Who I Am? (G.E.R)
My values are shaped by 3 pillars: Growth, Experience, Relationships. Hints the banner on Substack.
Pillar #1: Growth
I grew up in a middle-class household where money influenced many of the choices we made. My experience growing up with money shaped how I view wealth, not just as figures on a balance sheet, but ultimately as a mindset. It drove me to study economics, finance, and monetary policy and ultimately led to a career in wealth management, venture investing, and private markets.
Believe it or not, I wasn’t always an avid learner. In fact, economics was one of my worst subjects in high school. I owe a lot to my mom for enrolling me in countless programs, after-school activities, and sports. Those experiences taught me discipline, curiosity, and the importance of having a open mind. (Growth Mindset)

Pillar #2: Experience
I’ve since worked with UHNW families, FOs, founders, and institutions, helping them navigate both traditional finance and alternative assets. Along the way, I’ve learned many lessons and continue to learn.
From conducting operational due diligence on a spice farm in Belize to helping acquire and set up operations of a private jet. I’ve learned that business is more about people and adaptability then it is about numbers. Every project, big or small, has expanded how I think about value creation and the adventure of building things that last.

Pillar #3: Relationships
The third and most important value is Relationships. The people I met and continue to meet have been life-changing. Working alongside individuals from different industries & cultures with different perspectives has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey so far.
At the end of the day, growth and experience mean little without the relationships that shape and sustain them.
